And in keeping with Texas' proud reputation as the state where everything's bigger, the auctions at our Fort Worth and Houston sites get bigger and better every year.

"We would like to thank all of our customers for choosing to buy and sell at our auctions in Houston, helping us put on another successful auction this week and making this a record-setting year," said Alan McVicker, our Regional Sales Manager.

A big selection of equipment and hundreds of class 8 trucks

As Dolan Aucoin, our Regional Sales Manager, summed up the huge selection of equipment and trucks in Fort Worth, "You could look out at the yard and see late-model John Deere tractors, late-model Komatsu excavators, late-model Peterbilt and Kenworth trucks, and more—there was truly something for everyone."

And that something included a huge selection of trucks – more than 395 truck tractors sold, including:

  • A 2012 Kenworth T800 sleeper truck tractor that sold for US$79,000
  • 10 2012 Peterbilt 367 truck tractors that sold for a combined total of US$526,000
  • Six 2009 Kenworth T800 truck tractors that sold for a combined total of US$245,500

Other items sold included 395 trailers, 90+ excavators, 80+ compactors, 55+ loader backhoes, 35 dozers, 30+ wheel loaders, 25+ farm tractors, 170+ pickup trucks, and more.

And wrapping up a big year in Texas for Ritchie Bros. also meant a successful year for all the sellers and buyers we served.

"I’ve bought before with Ritchie Bros., but this is the first time we've sold with them," said Chris Holomon, Equipment Supervisor, Enviro Services LLC. "They are very professional—we trusted them, and you can depend on them to back up what they say. Ritchie Bros. is a very good auction company."
