Imagine a 200-acre site packed with heavy equipment and trucks. Five days of bidding action. And thousands of equipment buyers from around the world, kicking tires in the Florida sunshine, placing bids and watching the show. That was the scene at Ritchie Bros.' Orlando, FL auction site last week.

Our February auction in Orlando is typically our largest auction every year. This year we sold 10,700+ items—the most items ever sold at a Ritchie Bros. auction. Thanks to everyone who bid in person or online, bought, sold, or simply came out to enjoy the auction. We hope you enjoy these pictures and video from the event.

Day 1: from forklifts to skid steer loaders

We sold a wide range of light construction equipment on day one, including more than 660 boom lifts and scissor lifts.

Day 2: from farm tractors to mining trucks

On day two we sold a wide range of farm equipment, forestry equipment, and heavy construction equipment—including 240+ loaders:

Day 3: from compactors to cranes

Among the equipment sold on day three: 200+ compactors, 150+ dozers, 65 motor graders, and 120+ cranes:

Day 4: trucks and excavators

On day four we sold hundreds of small, medium and large excavators, along with hundreds of work trucks—and some real estate.

We sold more than 500 truck tractors and 390 trailers on day five, including this colorful lineup:

After five days of bidding, we totaled up the numbers:

  • US$172+ million of equipment, trucks and other assets sold
  • 10,700+ lots sold – a new company record
  • 9,850+ bidders, onsite and online – a new site record
  • 985 sellers – a new company record
